What happens if I lose my phone on the Free plan?
On the Free plan, your authentication codes are stored locally on your device with no cloud backup. If you lose your phone, your codes are gone permanently β just like with Google Authenticator. Upgrade to Premium for encrypted cloud backup and guaranteed recovery.
How does the Recovery Vault work?
Your Recovery Vault automatically backs up all your authentication secrets to encrypted cloud storage every time you add or change a service. If you lose your device, simply install AuthenPass on a new device, sign in, and restore your vault. All codes are back in under 60 seconds.
Can I switch plans later?
Absolutely. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time from your account settings. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades take effect at the end of your billing cycle. Your vault data transfers seamlessly between plans.
Is there a free trial for Premium?
Yes β your first month of Premium is heavily discounted to $1. That gives you full access to all recovery features for 30 days. After that, regular pricing of $5.99/month applies. Cancel anytime before the next billing cycle.
How does Family plan billing work?
One account holder pays $11.99/month and invites up to 5 additional family members. Each member gets their own private space plus access to shared family vaults. You can manage, add, or remove members anytime from the family admin panel.
How do I cancel or update my billing information?
You can manage your subscription at any time through the Stripe billing portal. Go to your Profile or Orders page and click 'Manage Subscription' to update your payment method, view invoices, or cancel your plan. Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing cycle.
